The Phoenix Suns travel to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers and wouldn't you know it? The against the spread line is way, way, way over indulged at 12.5 points.
I mean, I love the Lakers this year but I don't believe that a team that is only 11 and 9 against the spread, like the Lakers are, should be more than a 7 to 8 point favorite against a fellow Western Conference team that's over .500.
What's crazier is that the total in this game is a ridiculous 216. So, instead of betting for or against the Lakers against the spread, I'm simply going to take the under. Why not? The Suns won't try to run with the Lakers and the Lakers defense is too good anyhow.
