The Iowa Hawkeyes will try to remind everyone that they are the only team to beat Penn State this season (at least for a few more hours!) when they take to the field against the South Carolina Gamecocks in the 2009 Outback Bowl.
Both Iowa and South Carolina come into this game with decent defenses. The main difference between the two teams is that Iowa appears to have better speed on offense but South Carolina obviously played in a much tougher conference.
Or...did they? Yes, they did after Vanderbilt upset Boston College in the Music City Bowl.
South Carolina is receiving 3 1/2 points from the Hawkeyes.
I see them keeping this game close enough to upset Iowa, no matter how mildly, in this game.
I'm taking South Carolina at + 3 1/2 in the Outback Bowl.
